Dr. Josef Mengele – The Angel of Death

The following is corroborative information distilled from books and various forms of data, including recently declassified USG and declassified French government documents.

By the time the Red Army liberated Auschwitz on Jan. 27, 1945, Dr. Josef Mengele was long gone and had virtually disappeared. Come to find out he had been working at the Gross-Rosen concentration camp, approximately 40 miles southwest of Wroclaw in present-day western Poland. The increasing emphasis on the use of concentration camp prisoners in armaments production led to the expansion of the Gross-Rosen camp. It became the center of an industrial complex and the administrative hub of a vast network of at least 97 subcamps. As of January 1, 1945, the Gross-Rosen complex held 76,728 prisoners, of which 26,000 were women–the largest group of female prisoners in the entire concentration camp system. Mengele reportedly spent his last months of WWII at this camp conducting fertility and genetics experiments on the young women until just prior to the Soviet forces liberating the camp on February 14, 1945. Marc Berkowitz, a Gross-Rosen camp survivor, recalls Dr. Mengele bidding him a strangely sentimental farewell.

Josef Mengele was born in Gunzburg on March 16, 1911, the year his father, Karl bought a farm-machinery company that became the source of his family’s substantial wealth. Mengele studied philosophy in Munich in the 1920s, coming under the influence of Alfred Rosenberg and his racial ideology. Mengele obtained his medical degree at the University of Frankfurt am Main. In 1934 he joined the research staff of a newly founded Institute for Hereditary Biology and Racial Hygiene, which became the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute of Anthropology, Human Heredity, and Eugenics. The Rockefeller Foundation partially funded the actual building of this Institute and kept it afloat during the Great Depression and throughout WWII for research in “racial purity”. There, Mengele studied under Otmar von Verschuer, the eugenics specialist that many believe was the most influential in Mengele’s life. During the war the Institute regularly received human body parts, including eyes and skulls, from Nazi party member Karin Magnussen. Josef Mengele used the the eyes in studies intended to prove Nazi racial theories and to justify race-related social policies. After the German capitulation in May 1945, most of the thousands of files and lab materials of the Institute were moved to an unknown location or were destroyed, and were never obtained by the Allies to use as evidence in war crimes trials, and to prove or disprove the Nazi racial ideology which had motivated mass genocide in Europe. Most of the staff from this Institute escaped trial.

Dr. Mengele became an ardent Nazi, and enlisted in the extremist Nazi militia, Sturmabteilung in 1934. During the early war years of World War II he served as a medical officer with the Waffen-SS (armed component of the Nazi paramilitary corps) in France and Russia. In 1937, as a young doctor he joined the Nazi Party and married in 1939. After reaching the rank of major in the medical corps he was assigned to duty at Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland in May 1943 by SS Chief Heinrich Himmler, where an estimated 4 million people were reportedly gassed and cremated. He was appointed as chief doctor at Birkenau, the supplementary extermination camp at Auschwitz, where he and his staff selected incoming prisoners for extermination or experimentation.

What requires understanding of the German medical system in the years leading to WWII is that research was the highest priority and teaching those cutting edge discoveries came nose-to-nose in the winning of the race. Thus, the professors and medical researchers were the most highly paid physicians in Germany. Among them, 60 percent were Jewish. When Hitler introduced his racial policies German physicians were in full support. Once the Jewish doctors were removed from the universities and institutes more doors opened to more prestigious positions with higher pay for the German doctors.

The four phases of human experimentation in the Third Reich have been identified. The first, from 1939-1941, took place mostly in clinics and was connected to the Nazi euthanasia program. This phase also focused on brain and neurological research. The last three phases took place in the concentration camps. Between 1939 and 1944, psychiatrists, psychologists and anthropologists investigated Jews, Sinti, Roma, homosexuals and the mentally and physically disabled for use in sterilization, reproduction, genetics and brain research experiments. The third phase was between 1941 and 1943, as a consequence of the war, these experiments dealt with healing of wounds, infectious disease and aviation medicine. The war demanded solutions to war injuries and epidemics, and the military leaders feared biological and chemical warfare. The war against the Soviet Union had prompted the large-scale human experiments in the concentration camps. At that time, only German science research that contributed to German warfare and racial purity could rely on funding, materials, and human research subjects.

The polycracy of the Third Reich is crucial to understanding the human experiments. The competition and power struggle between various organizations and institutes contributed to the human experiments, and finding solutions to war-related medical issues gave the initiating party more prestige. By acquiring money and facilities for research projects they could enhance their own position within the Third Reich. The major organizations that commissioned the human experiments were the Wehrmacht, the Ahnenerbe and the SS-Schutzstaffel. The Wehrmacht had the best educated and most prestigious researchers and professors. In contrast the SS lacked those highly qualified medical scientists. What it did have was a vast concentration camp population as research subjects at its disposal. Because the Wehrmacht required Himmler’s approval for human experimentation the Wehrmacht researchers had to cooperate with the SS who were in charge at the concentration camps.

Himmler’s broad interest in science, archeology, ancient technology and medicine prompted him to establish the Ahnenerbe (inherited from the forefathers) think tank in 1935. The Nazi government used the Ahnenerbe’s research to justify many of their policies. For instance, the think tank’s claim that archaeological evidence indicated that the ancient Aryans lived across eastern Europe and was cited as justification for German military expansion into that region, which was also cited in justification for the Holocaust. It promoted the racial doctrines espoused by Hitler that Germans were biologically and mentally superior to all other humans. This genocidal mindset contributed to a devaluation of the individual life of all the “racially inferior”, the physically deformed, and the mentally compromised people.

Himmler was a racial ideologist and since his pet project was the Ahnenerbe program it was given the highest priority and full autonomy. Having the highly trained eugenics researcher, Dr. Mengele, working in his largest concentration camp, Himmler allowed Mengle full reign in selecting his own research projects and in the selection of his human subjects. Accounts of survivors, many of whom recall his hypnotic dark eyes and the distinctive gap between his front teeth, place him constantly at the arrival ramp, searching for more research victims.

Dr. Mengele spent most of his free time at the train tracks, searching the cattle car arrivals for the young women and twins for his reproduction and genetics research. He supervised and performed medical and genetics experiments on inmates to discover the means necessary to increase fertility in the German race, and decrease it in others. His chief interests were research on twins and blue eyes. Survivors said he killed and dissected many twin children in hopes of finding the secret to more quickly produce the master race of blue-eyed Aryans. Recently released documents show that out of 2500-3,000 sets of twins at Auschwitz, only 100 survived. Mengele’s experiments have been described in the books, but I found them too horrific to place in this paper.

Dr. Mengele became one of Lebensborn’s (Fount of Life) most important and secretive physicians at these birthing centers. Lebensborn was set up by Heinrich Himmler. It was far more sinister than a breeding program to birth future generations of Nazis, as the official narrative describes. A program as large and audacious as Lebensborn is mostly misunderstood thanks to the vast propaganda machine.

The Nazi’s discovery of the Black Nobility families’ programming and mind control of their children led Dr. Mengele to use human subjects for scientific improvement to the pre-existing methods used in mind control. Mengele incorporated drugs, hypnosis and electric shock at the Lebensborn facilities. In addition to genetics research these advanced mind control techniques were instituted and used in conjunction with the Eindeutschung program, the “Germanization of the East”. An important part of this process was to “reclaim Aryan stock from the occupied territories and to completely Germanize them”. This process was termed Eindeutschung, and involved various steps. First, suitable individuals had to be identified. Second, the selected children had to be transferred to the appropriate Eindeutschung authorities and institutions. Third, the children were to be “re-trained” to become true Germans–Nazis. Behind the veil, thousands of children were “drafted” into Lebensborn; kidnapped and sent to secret remote hospitals, academies, and concentration camps. Afterwards, any survivors were made available for adoption by childless SS couples under the guise of “German orphans from the reconquered East”. While there were differences of opinion within the SS, there was general agreement that most of the population of the Occupied East was not suitable for Eindeutschung and would have to be expelled to Siberia or exterminated.

By 1947 Dr. Mengele had been publicly identified by the Auschwitz camp commandant, Rudolf Hoss, as being responsible for some of the experimental atrocities. Mengele’s crimes had been well documented before the International Military Tribunal and other postwar courts, yet Mengele eluded capture. By 1958, a West German prosecutor, Hermann Langbein happened to discover Mengele’s presence in Argentina, and persuaded reluctant officials to authorize charges against Dr. Mengele, clearing the way for a 1959 West German order for his arrest and extradition in 1960. Nothing ever came of these actions. The reasons will be made clear in the future report on Bormann’s Flight Capital Program.

The racial purity ideologies did not disappear with the fall of Nazi Germany. French government documents state that Dr. Mengele was taken into US custody immediately after the war ended, with the help of Allen Dulles and John McCloy. The French claimed that American authorities confirmed that Dr. Mengele was covertly brought into the US. Mengele is infamous for his sordid human experiments on concentration camps prisoners, especially on twins. A part of his work that is rarely mentioned however, is his research on mind control. Much of his research in this field was confiscated by the Allies and is still classified to this day. Dr. Joseph Mengele of Auschwitz notoriety was the principal developer of the trauma-based Monarch Project and the CIA’s MK Ultra mind control programs. He trained select CIA agents and military officers, sworn to secrecy, in his advanced mind control techniques. The Nazis continued their work in developing mind control and rocketry technologies in secret underground military bases. The only thing we were told about was the rocketry work with former Nazi star celebrities like Warner Von Braun. The killers, torturers, and mutilators of innocent human beings were kept discretely out of sight, but busy in US underground military facilities which gradually became home to thousands upon thousands of kidnapped American children snatched off the streets (about one million per year) and placed into iron bar cages stacked from floor to ceiling as part of the ‘training’. These children would be used to further refine and perfect Mengele’s mind control technologies. Certain selected children (at least the ones who survived the ‘training’) would become future mind controlled slaves who could be used for thousands of different jobs ranging anywhere from sexual slavery to assassinations. A substantial portion of these children, who were considered expendable, were intentionally slaughtered in front of (and by) the other children in order to traumatize the selected trainee into total compliance and submission. The subjects undergo an advanced process of trauma based mind control and multiple personality programming. Since the early 1950’s American children, found and designated as “Valuable to the State”, are tested, evaluated and recruited into the CIA’s MK Ultra programs. Working in MK Ultra, Dr. Mengele was known as Dr. Black or Dr. Green, and his public CIA alias was Steven Rabel. Ultimately the programmed victims were used by the CIA, US military, corporate, medical, judiciary, media/entertainment, government, athletics and secret societies. Under the horrific Operation MK Ultra operations, at least 150 sub-projects were created.

In addition to the CIA’s mind control programs, Josef Mengele and August Hirt were placed as consultants in America’s largest medical and pharmaceutical companies like Merck, Bayer and W.R. Grace. As consultants they conducted experiments that yielded test results the pharma companies required to further promote their products. These Nazi doctors also taught subliminal and mind control advertising propaganda techniques, and Dr. Mengele was soon hired by W.R. Grace Co. Allen Dulles later moved Dr. Mengele to Paraguay in the 1960s.

Dr. Mengele visited the West German Embassy in Buenos Aires, announced he was Josef Mengele and obtained a certificate that enabled him to get a new Argentine identity card in his own name. There is nothing to show that the West Germans questioned him. Gerald L. Posner, a New York lawyer whose book, “Mengele: The Complete Story” documents much of Dr. Mengele’s life after the war. Posner interviewed Col. Alejandro von Eckstein, a ranking member of the Paraguayan intelligence service and one of the co-sponsors for Dr. Mengele’s citizenship papers. During extensive conversations, von Eckstein attested that Mengele had been a “resident of Paraguay for five years”. While in South America, Posner had access to Brazilian and Argentine intelligence and police files that confirmed conversations with colonel von Eckstein.

Dr. Mengele’s residence was on Avenida General MacArthur, less than half a mile from the US Embassy. He resided under his real name in a house owned by the former Chief of the Paraguayan Nazi Party. Dane Bowen, Jr. told Posner that during his tenure as a political officer in the US Embassy in Asuncion, Paraguay from Dec. 1, 1959 through Jan. 25, 1964, there was ”never a mention of Mengele,” this is contradicted by press reports in South American newspapers and magazines. From 1960 to 1964, numerous articles reported Dr. Mengele was indeed in Paraguay. Posner: “I am amazed that the US Embassy official responsible for knowing and reporting to Washington all political matters of interest never heard of Dr. Mengele”, Gerald L. Posner, Feb. 27, 1985.

Posner said von Eckstein had shown him a hideaway, the Hotel del Tirol, near Encarnacion, where unidentified Nazi-hunters nearly trapped Dr. Mengele in 1965. Mengele narrowly escaped capture by the same Israeli Mossad and Shin Bet agents that seized Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in 1960. John Martin, an ABC News correspondent in Paraguay obtained an unusual on-camera admission by Colonel von Eckstein that the Stroessner Government had warned Dr. Mengele about the Israeli agents searching for him.

While in Paraguay, Dr. Mengele traveled to German communities selling equipment for his family business, Karl Mengele & Sons Company, based in his hometown of Gunzburg Germany. The company produced machinery for milling, sawing, and farming. A former general manager of the Mengele company was identified by Mrs. Schreiber in her news articles as Hans Sadelmeyer. Sadelmeyer is quoted as saying he was in constant touch with Dr. Mengele while he was in Paraguay. Posner quoted Colonel von Eckstein as revealing that Dr. Mengele traveled to Spain on a Paraguayan passport in 1965 to meet with Otto Skorzeny, a friend and former Nazi commando chief, who was said to have helped Heinrich Müller engineer the escape of thousands of Nazis after the war.

Dr. Mengele subsequently married Martha Mengele, the widow of his brother, Karl. Her son, Karl Heinz, became Dr. Mengele’s stepson. Dr. Mengele’s son, Rolf, became a lawyer after attending posh Switzerland schools. Reportedly, Dr. Mengele spent the last years of his life near Sao Pãolo. Mengele is reported to have suffered a stroke and drowned on February 7, 1979 while swimming in the sea near his vacation resort near Bertioga, Brazil. He was, reportedly, buried in a suburb of Sao Pãolo under the fictive name Wolfgang Gerhard. However, according to Otto Skorzeny and Heinrich Muller, Dr. Mengele was still alive well into the 1990s. Journalist Eric Berman said that Skorzeny produced photos of Dr. Mengele and Adolf Hitler attending a Nazi reunion in Wyoming in 1996.

Otto Skorzeny – Hitler’s Favorite Commando

Otto Skorzeny (12 June 1908 – December 31, 1999), was once dubbed “the most dangerous man in Europe” by British and US spies, and was the only SS boss to be personally decorated by Adolph Hitler with the highest rank of the Iron Cross. He was born into a middle-class Austrian family with a long history of military service, and was a noted fencer, and a member of a German-national Burschenschaft. As a university student in Vienna he engaged in fifteen personal fencing combats. The tenth resulted in a wound that left a dramatic dueling scar on his left cheek, known in academic fencing as a Schmiss (“smite”; “hit”). Skorzeny’s father-in-law was Hjalmar Schacht, co-founder of the German Democratic Party that served as the Minister of Economics under Hitler. Schact was also the President of the Reichsbank. Skorzeny became a CIA master spy and assassin under the OSS/CIA’s Operation Paperclip.

Otto Skorzeny was a SS–Obersturmbannführer in the Waffen-SS during World War II. During the war, Skorzeny was involved in several operations, including the removal from power of Hungarian Regent Miklós Horthy. Skorzeny is remembered most for his daring mission on September 12, 1943 rescuing Benito Mussolini at the San Grasso resort in the Italian alps. Scorzeny planned and led the rescue in a high-risk glider mission. He also participated in the invasions of Poland, France, Holland, and Balkans and finally the invasion of Russia, where he was wounded in 1941. Skorzeny was the founder of ODESSA, the secret organization that helped Nazis escape the Allies’ hunt for war criminals.

Skorzeny surrendered to the Americans on May 15, 1945. He worked closely with Reinhard Gehlen in the CIA’s ‘The Org’ (future report). Skorzeny went on to became an advisor to various governments, including Egypt’s, which brought him into contact with former Nazi rocket scientists helping the Nasser regime develop military capabilities to ward off Israel. Skorzeny spent time in Argentina, and became friends with Juan Perón and Eva Peron, who gained his help to recover Nazi gold. Otto organized the Argentinian police into the most brutal in South America. Reportedly, Juan and Eva gifted Skorzeny with one million dollars for his “excellent service”. He was a bodyguard to Eva Peron, while fostering the Bormann Capital Flight program. (Future report) An obscure article in the August 7 1966 Sunday supplement of La Cronica (Lima, Peru) shows that “OTTO SKORZENY PLANNED TO KIDNAP FIDEL CASTRO and take him to an undisclosed place”. The article says that the plan, known as Project Tropical, was “paid by the CIA on orders from Allen Dulles” (of course).

Before Otto Skorzeny died on December 31, 1999 in Boynton Beach, FL, he left his life story and photo archive in the hands of journalist Eric Berman. Bermen tells how he discovered that his girlfriend was the daughter of Otto Skorzeny. In 1990, Berman met the elderly Skorzeny, who had been living in the US for decades while working for the CIA. According to Bermann, Skorzeny “at about age 90 was very focused and very lucid, and still very mobile”. “He was still very impressive.” During the war Skorzeny claimed he had several doubles, enabling the CIA to fake his “1975 official death”, as the CIA was doing with many other Nazis under Operation Paperclip. When asked why Bermann thought Skorzeny entrusted this information to him, Berman responded, “I was dating his daughter… I’m an honest guy and he trusted me…thought that I would try to do something about this…his whole goal was…. they had screwed him over, including George H.W. Bush”. “This was his one last way of getting even with them.” Skorzeny no longer cared about his Oath of Secrecy to the CIA. Berman believed Skorzeny’s recollections which led to research on his own.

Skorzeny told Berman that the CIA had created the aliases Robert Steinbacher and Otto Steinbauer for him. Berman later found the alias that Skorzeny had only partially revealed; Edward _ _ _ _ _ _ , was Edward Frank Pyzyna, who had lived in New Jersey, Florida and in BigFork, MT. Bermann also found that Reinhard Gehlen’s CIA alias was Hank Janowicz of Wayne, NJ, and that the CIA gave Dr. Josef Mengele the alias Steven Rabel. After uncovering this information, Berman contacted the US Justice Department to inform them that Nazis were being harbored by certain factions of the US intelligence agencies, in particular the CIA. “My thoughts were that I needed to try to bring these Nazi war criminals to justice…basically, they told me that I was mistaken”, and according to the CIA, “all of them were dead…” Then, “I was over at Skorzeny’s house and his widow received a phone call that turned her white, and she almost passed out.” “Someone from the OSI tipped her off that I had contacted them.” Berman learned that “Gehlen was tipped off by the FBI about Skorzeny unveiling his identity, and he went into hiding. “Rabel [Mengele] had been using a black hairpiece and anti-aging hormone injections to maintain a youthful appearance and he went into hiding too.”

Skorzeny told the story of Wilhelm Canaris, a German admiral and chief of the Abwehr, that was reportedly “hung in the nude” for his role in a plot to assassinate Hitler, saying “this story was a ruse”. “Canaris had been resettled by the CIA under Paperclip in Shawnee, Oklahoma with the alias Samuel Randall Pittman”, teaching law at Oklahoma Baptist University. “His house was provided by traitors within the US intelligence community at taxpayer expense.” Skorzeny added that “some 50,000 Nazi spies were smuggled out of Germany through ODESSA, and helped them work for the CIA with Allen Dulles’ coordination”. “They included former members of the 12th Department of the German Army General Staff, Soviet spies and others.” “The US gave them sign-on bonuses and yearly salaries of $40-50K per year.”

Skorzeny corroborates Heinrich Muller’s OSS/CIA interviews, stating “Adolph Hitler was alive and well in the US in the 1990s, contrary to the CIA-written propaganda history books”. He said that he had “helped Hitler escape to Spain, he did not commit suicide”. Skorzeny recounted, “I shot Hitlers double–his cousin–in the head with a small caliber handgun”. Hitler and a few close allies boarded Hitler’s personal plane that was flown by Hitler’s trusted female pilot, Hanna Reitsch, with the plane “disguised as a Red Cross relief plane”. “The CIA faked Hanna Reitsch’s death in 1979.” According to Skorzeny, “the CIA gave Hitler the highest Top Secret security clearance the CIA has. “Among others given that level of clearance were Frank Wisner, Reinhard Gehlen, Prescott Bush, Josef Mengele and August Hirt.” There are many interesting and shocking stories of the Nazis from Skorzeny’s retelling and diaries.

Heinrich Müller – Hitlers Gestapo Chief

Released in the 1980’s, most of Muller’s private correspondence, journals and a number of his most important files surfaced in Switzerland that ended up in US military archives. These materials included “top secret” transcripts made in 1948 from Muller’s CIA interviews and private files, and also from material hidden for fifty years in US intelligence archives. From more declassified CIA files, Muller was noted as having reports covering every aspect of his career, including intelligence intercepts, interrogation reports, journals, voluminous files on enemy intelligence agencies in Russia, the US, Switzerland and England, a comprehensive list of “V-people”–his former intelligence network, statistical reports from concentration camps, dossiers on Third Reich military leaders, foreign militaries and foreign political leaders, transatlantic radio telephone intercepts, and so on.

It should be noted that a forensic examination of the CIC documents conducted by the FBI supports their veracity. I hope you enjoy learning of this particular Nazi as much as I did.

Born to Catholic parents in Munich on April 28 1900, Heinrich Müller was a high-ranking German Schutzstaffel (SS). He started his military career as a highly decorated pilot during World War I, after going to school to become an aircraft mechanic. In 1924 he married Sophie Dischner, and their first born was Reinhold, born Jan 4, 1927, then daughter Elizabeth came along on Sept 9, 1936. Elizabeth had what we would now term ‘learning disabilities’. She was described as “not normal” and created considerable friction for the Muller family. Interestingly, Hitler’s “National Socialist Racial Hygiene” program included people with cognitive disabilities, and that would have netted poor Elizabeth. Good thing her dad was an important Nazi. This ongoing family discontent attributed to Muller and his wife becoming estranged, but since both were devout Catholics they remained married, though Heinrich had a lengthy relationship with his private secretary, Barbara Hellmuth.

Following his tour of duty in World War I, Müller joined the Bavarian police force and became the head of operations. Before and during World War II, Müller was one of the most feared Nazis in Europe, described by authors with phrases like “dispassionate killer” and “utterly ruthless.” According to accepted history, Müller carried out the attack that started WWII. He assisted in overthrowing the attempt to form a socialist state in Bavaria and witnessed the shooting of hostages in Munich by the Red Army. These experiences instilled in Müller a deep hatred of communism. That fueled his rise when the Nazis took power in 1933, which took over the Bavarian government removing President Heinrich Held and other Bavarian officials. It was there that Müller met Nazi leaders Heinrich Himmler and Reinhard Heydrich. At this point, Müller had no love for the Nazis. Heydrich was impressed by Müller’s skill as a policeman, despite his resistance to the Nazi mindset. Heydrich and Himmler recruited Muller into the secret police, known as the Gestapo. However, Müller didn’t adopt the Nazi cause right away. Reinhard Heydrich respected Müller’s discipline and aided Müller’s rise within the SS. Müller was determined to serve the German state, irrespective of what political form it took. By 1936, Heydrich was head of the Gestapo and Müller became its operations chief. Müller was promoted to colonel in 1937 and, finally, officially became a Nazi Party member in 1939. Under Müller’s leadership, the Gestapo destroyed Nazi opposition groups including underground networks of socialists and communists.

In 1939, Adolf Hitler requested a pretense under which the Nazis would invade Poland. So, Himmler, Muller and Heydrich concocted a fake attack using detained prisoners as pawns, and neatly dressed them in Polish uniforms so they could play the role of enemy attackers. The prisoners believed they would receive a pardon for their assistance. Instead, Müller administered lethal injections, then shot them in order to make the “attack” appear real. The resulting Goebbels propaganda then relayed the “horrors” of this supposed attack. This was what justified the Nazi invasion of Poland that marked the beginning of World War Two in Europe.

Heinrich Müller continued his climb to the top, becoming Lieutenant General of the police in 1941 and became a master of espionage and counter-espionage. As the right-hand man of Heydrich, a Holocaust’s chief architect, Müller helped arrange the deportations of tens of thousands of Jews. Müller continued to prove his worth to the Nazi establishment in other ways, and became fiercely loyal to Adolph Hitler. After a group of renegade Nazis initiated the July 20 plot to kill Hitler and the Operation Valkyrie attempt to overthrow Nazi leadership, Müller spearheaded the interrogations and arrests of those involved. He arrested anyone with a remote connection to the plot. He even arrested others who had no connections but were simply people against whom the Gestapo had a score to settle. The Nazis killed nearly 5,000 people in the aftermath of Operation Valkyrie.

Living comfortably in Switzerland as an intelligence resource for the Swiss government, Heinrich Muller was contacted in early 1948, by his one time deputy and longtime acquaintance in the Gestapo, SS-Oberführer Wilhelm Krichbaum, head of the investigative body of the Abwehr. In 1946 Wil Krichbaum had been recruited by Reinhard Gehlen, who was responsible for locating former Gestapo agents to secure positions inside the CIA’s ‘The Org’ (future report). The Org. was headed by CIA’s Col. James Critchfield. Krichbaum opened discussions with Col. Crichfield about the possibility of employing Heinrich Muller. With Muller’s knowledge and expertise in the Eastern bloc of Germany and in USSR intelligence, backed with his large stash of archival material, Crichfield expressed immediate interest. Muller’s value to the CIA was his vast knowledge and experience, truckloads of files, and the US government wanted it all. Krichbaum then made contact with Muller in the spring of 1948.

Muller’s expertise and specific brilliance in anti-communism counter intelligence was someone the USG believed they badly needed. Muller had been protected and hidden by the USG from the day he was identified for Operation Paperclip recruitment for the CIA, along with others identified as high value Nazis to be positioned in the covert USG’s intelligence agencies. There was never a question of exposing Muller if he refused to cooperate. It was more a question of Muller’s willingness to work for a former enemy. Due to his disdain of communism and his desire to do further harm to that system, Muller had little difficulty working for USG intelligence. Muller was under no compulsion to lie, negotiate or to apologize. He stated what he knew and said what he thought on an enormous number of fascinating historical subjects, and obviously regretted nothing. The US intelligence interviews with Muller were conducted with his eventual employment being a foregone conclusion. The post war interviews created an 800 page dossier.

The Muller interviews took place in his villa overlooking Lake Geneva. Over a three week period in the summer of 1948, a CIA agent, known as “Welborn III ” was later identified as CIA agent James Speyer Kronthal, conducted the interviews. Krohnthal was Allen Dulles protege and reported directly to Dulles. He was later given Dulles’ position as head of the CIA’s Bern Switzerland station. Kronthal was known to stay overnight with Dulles in his Georgetown home; a personal relationship giving Kronthal the clout needed to negotiate on behalf of the USG. (Kronthal had dinner with Allen Dulles the night of his death which was reported as a questionable suicide.) The stenographer recording the interviews was later identified as Frl. Irmgard Krieger, a former secretary to Muller who worked under his long time paramour Barbara Hellmuth. After the war, with Gehlen’s assistance, Muller had found gainful employment for a number of his former workers before bringing some of them to the US under Operation Paperclip.

Frank Wisner, one of the founding officers of the CIA who played a major role in Agency operations throughout the 1950s, conducted a series of follow-up interviews with Muller and found a wealth of Nazi information. Muller shared his extensive historical files, stolen artwork, top shelf liquor and exquisite cuisine–prepared by his personal chef, along with many games of chess. Muller finally agreed to work for the CIA as a Soviet “counter espionage specialist”. Wisner offered Muller an annual salary and a million dollar sign on bonus, courtesy of the Truman Administration and American taxpayers. Muller went to work for the CIA in Washington DC and lived under his Swiss identity as a Soviet counter espionage agent.

Muller came to the US along with some of his Gestapo helpers and they soon had most of Washington DC bugged. From 1948 through 1952, Muller lived in the Washington, D.C. area and worked closely with the top leadership of the CIA and the Truman Administration. As was his lifelong habit, Muller kept regular, detailed journals, recording the secret activities of the fledgling CIA and his own observations about the inner workings of the White House and its top aides and advisors, such as Dean Acheson, George Kennan, Charles (Chip) Bohlen, W. Averell Harriman and Allen Dulles. In one published diary Muller wrote: “I was never a practicing Nazi, but I cannot discuss that because a number of my CIA superiors are secret sympathizers…the US government is full of Communists and Nazis”. “I am now a true Party member and fighter against Communism.” Muller also wrote that “the CIA Propaganda Minister is Frank Wisner, aka: Ed Kobylarz…in charge of the American OSS’ illegal Operation Paperclip, bringing Hitler’s entire SS Gestapo to merge with the American OSS and create a Nazi CIA. The CIA is Hitler’s 4th Reich in America.”

Muller spied on his CIA superiors and had contempt for his CIA colleagues whom he cuckolded regularly. Muller stated, “Allen Dulles is one of those well-bred idiots who went to the correct schools and met the right people…If it weren’t for that, he would be scrubbing toilets in the YMCA in some small town or New Jersey.” “Many are homosexuals and in spite of being racist have Black lovers…their wives are a rich source of information.” “The CIA is filled with pseudo-intellectuals, drunks and egomaniacs that have no idea at all what they are doing”. He writes; “The CIA is trying to set national policy and will be responsible for the Beacon of Democracy sliding into Fascism”, which he admitted was preferable to Communism. He said, Allen Dulles, James Angleton and Frank Wisner “embezzled millions from top secret projects”. For example, ”they pocketed a million dollar bribe to depose the democratically-elected Iranian Prime Minister Mossedagh”. Muller regarded Washington as “a cross between a zoo and an insane asylum”.

According to Muller’s journal, he was soon on a first-name basis with President Truman. Muller’s admiration was reserved for Harry Truman alone, whom he considered an “honest unpretentious man, and bulwark against Communism”. Muller said he “entertained Truman at home, wearing Nazi medals I played Bach, and gave Truman stolen artworks and cases of fine whiskey”. Muller informed Truman that his phones had been tapped by the CIA and advised him on Soviet intentions during the Korean War, based on his contacts with Soviet spies in Washington, including Kim Philby. He wrote extensively on the historical and political realities of the beginnings of the Cold War. He revealed that ‘The Org’ had provided the CIA with false reports of Soviet expansionism and their supply of “200 atomic bombs which did not exist”. Muller went even further: “The British wanted the US and Russia to destroy each other.” Muller watched as the US geared up for its own military expansion and the large tax dollars added as the military budgets increased “for a cold war that did not exist in reality”. Based on his knowledge of “Russian insecurity and lack of funds for a build up it was simply standard issue propaganda”. “The cold war is a continuation of WWII, with the US replacing the Nazis.” “Communists took over the US government under FDR…if he had succeeded in putting Henry Wallace on the ticket, there is no doubt that the red flag would be flying over the People’s Republic of North America at this moment.”

Muller had a cornucopia of topics to disuss: the Korean War; the 1950 assassination attempt on Truman; the CIA plans to overthrow foreign governments; high-level theft of government funds; and his connection with Kim Philby and other Soviet agents; McCarthy probes and Muller’s part in them, and anti-Semitism in official circles. Muller said that he, Herbert Hoover and the CIA were behind Sen. Joseph McCarthy‘s Communist witch hunt, although Muller regarded McCarthy as a “grandstander, drunk and fairy.” Muller recognized that “many Communists were Jews but many Jews were not Communists”. Muller said he was surprised to find more anti-Semitism in the top ranks of the US military and the CIA than in similar positions in Nazi Germany. Muller confided that the Stern Gang tried to assassinate Truman in 1947 but the team was apprehended and killed. Muller says the Israelis wanted to attack Saudi Arabia in 1949 and Truman had to threaten military action to stop them. He claimed that more-than-half of Berlin Jews were still there at war’s end. Muller stated, the “CIA took over the ratlines to Syria and South America.” “They sent Nazis to bolster the Syrians against the Israelis.” “The Illuminati bankers always build up both sides to foment conflict and reap huge rewards..”

Heinrich Muller disappeared by the end of WWII. He was reported as a suicide, reported as having been buried. Muller’s alleged death at the war’s end has been effectively debunked by USG documents that quietly surfaced in the 1980s. By the end of 1945, OSS had several Heinrich Mullers on file. A CIA index card collating the information on Gestapo Muller, written after the war, contained two different birth dates, together with data concerning a third unrelated character. All these files confused the Muller issue. This was revealed during the research of Military IRR files released by the US National Archives in 2000, as follows: “Sept 25, 1983: in W Berlin Kreuzberg military cemetery a grave was opened, contents removed for forensic eval.” “Pathology exam proves 3 different men in grave, none of whom are H Muller.” “Post-war anicomm Muller approached by ______, worked for _____ debrief by Gehlen right after war.” “Muller is not dead, gainfully employed by govt.” “Hitler double was a distant cousin.”

Heinrich Muller’s published diaries ended before Eisenhower took power. He emerges from these documents as a civilized, ultra urbane, highly intelligent and wealthy Nazi, thanks in part to the gold and the artwork stolen during the war, plus the million dollar signing bous and generous USG salary. He had estates in Virginia and Colorado and was an accomplished pianist and chess player. Muller enjoyed fine food, drink, and literature and he collected a massive fine art collection. He reportedly retired comfortably from the USG and moved to be near his Nazi compatriots in South America during the 1980s. According to released CIA documents Heinrich Muller died in 1983 in California.

Heinrich Muller had married a young American socialite who bore him a son in 1944, and various stories say that President Truman was this son’s godfather. With all the obfuscation, I am left wondering if Heinrich Muller’s son is Robert Mueller, born August 7 1944. Or if Robert Mueller is somehow related to Heinrich Muller.

Did Adolf Hitler Escape?

According to official history Hitler committed suicide around 3:30 p.m. on April 30th, 1945. Archived radio messages from April 30-May 1 show that Reischlieter Martin Bormann radioed Admiral Karl Donitz at 5:30 p.m. on April 30, informing him that he (Donitz) had been chosen as Hitler’s successor, but Bormann did not inform Donitz that Hitler was dead. In 1945, the US Naval Attaché in Buenos Aires informed Washington there was a high probability that Hitler and Eva Braun had just arrived in Argentina. This coincides with the sightings of the submarine U-530.

More evidence that Hitler survived the fall of Germany lies in Russia. Stalin insisted until his death that his account of Hitler’s escape was the accurate one. He had received deep intelligence reports validating his belief. With the Soviet occupation of Germany, Hitler’s supposed remains were quickly hidden and sent off to Russia, never to be seen again. That is until 2009, when an archeologist from Connecticut State, Nicholas Bellatoni, was allowed to perform DNA testing on the skull fragments recovered. What he discovered set off a reaction through the intelligence and scholarly communities. Not only did the DNA not match any recorded samples thought to be Hitler’s, they did not match Eva Braun’s DNA either. So the question is, what did the Soviets discover in the bunker?

With all of the new found evidence coming to light, it is possible and even likely that not only did Hitler escape from Germany, he had the help from the international intelligence community supporting him. Released FBI documents show that they were not only aware of Hitler’s presence in Argentina; they were also helping to cover it up. In one FBI document from Los Angles, it is revealed that the agency was well aware of a mysterious submarine coming from Spain making its way up the Argentinian coast, dropping off high level Nazi officials. What is even more astonishing is that the FBI knew he was in fact living in the foothills of the Andes. Recently released FBI documents show that not only was Hitler and Eva Braun’s suicide faked, the infamous pair might have had help from the director of the OSS himself, Allen Dulles, (of course!). (FBI document link below, p 150)

Added evidence comes in the form of newspaper articles detailing the construction of a Bavarian styled mansion in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, and from the architect Alejandro Bustillo who wrote about his design and construction of “Hitler’s new home financed earlier by wealthy German immigrants”.

During a lengthy debriefing session, perhaps when Heinrich Muller felt confident that his USG employment was secure, he disclosed to Frank Wisner that “Hitler had escaped to Spain then to Argentina, where Hitler currently resides”. Muller was adamant that Hitler escaped Germany on April 29, 1945 and that he (Muller) had planned and coordinated the efforts with Martin Bormann and Otto Skorzeny, but would not reveal the details initially. With information contained in previously classified US intelligence archives, information accessed by a London Times journalist, and more from a military history quarterly, Muller’s story of Hitler’s escape is not difficult to believe.

It had come to Muller’s attention in 1941 that a man working in Breslau, Poland was an exact double for Adolf Hitler. Muller had the man followed, photographed and his background checked. When he examined the pictures Muller stated “the resemblance was remarkable”. “The man had no mustache, he was shorter, heavier and his hair was cut differently but the similarities were astonishing”. The man was born in Austria, the Waldviertel district, and was from the Sillip family. Muller came to learn that the man was Hitler’s distant cousin. There were many men in the village that resembled Hitler due to a long line of intermarriages, as was also the case in Bormann’s village. He was not married and was a party member in good standing, “not especially brilliant but not difficult to work with”. “He was younger than Hitler but his head and features were very, very close.” “He smoked and had to give that up.” “At first, Hitler did not like the idea of a double and did not want to meet him, especially when I told him he was a distant relative…eventually Hitler could see the security value in a double and allowed us to proceed with training the man to act like him.” Hitler met him two times at the Kaiserhof Hotel, just across from the chancellery building so the man could watch Hitler up close and learn to imitate Hitler’s little personal gestures. “It was not difficult to teach him the public persona of Hitler, but the private postures needed refinement…Hitler had bad teeth and when he laughed he would often put his hand across his mouth.”

Muller arranged for a replica of Hitler’s uniform, lifts were placed in the man’s boots and extensive dental work was done by Hitler’s personal dentist, Dr. Hugo Blaschke, in order to match Hitler’s teeth. The man lost a few pounds, grew a mustache and was given a Hitler haircut. “Hitler said it was like looking in a mirror.” “Few met the man other than Bormann and Hitler”, and only a select number were aware of Muller’s escape plans for Hitler, and certainly very few knew the destination. Those that did were Hitler’s valet SS officer Heinz Linge, Hitler’s bodyguard Johann Rattenhuber, Joseph Goebbels, Werner Baumbach, Martin Bormann, Otto Skorzeny and Hitler’s personal adjutant Otto Gunsche. The double was kept out of sight until the night of April 29.

Johann Rattenhuber was always with Hitler and responsible for Hitler’s security. He had coordinated much of the escape plan with Muller, Bormann and Skorzeny; Hitler’s highly trusted Nazis. The garden of the chancellery had two entries/exits. Rattenhuner accompanied Hitler on the early evening of April 29, 1945 for Hitler’s walk with Blondie, his beloved German Shepherd; their regular nightly stroll around the compound’s garden. Returning to his quarters, Hitler used the entry/exit obscured from view by the guards. Once Hitler reentered the compound, Rattenhuner brought Hitler’s cousin and a German Shepherd double back to the garden where the guards could continue observing “Hitler” walk with “Blondie”. Muller oversaw the entire operation and was present at the time of the switch.

Stories differ regarding Eva Braun. Josef Stalin believed Eva was sacrificed and ended up in the grave with Hitler’s double. Nicholas Bellatoni, the archeologist from Connecticut State that performed the DNA tests had found the Braun DNA did not match any recorded samples. Muller’s story is that with his expertise another well crafted look-alike was used for Eva Braun. As Hitler, Eva, Blondie and a handful of others were whisked away to Hitler’s personal plane, Muller said the double was drugged and shot with a small caliber handgun, but he would never reveal who shot the man. However, Otto Skorzeny recounted in the 1990s, “I shot Hitlers double–his cousin, in the head with a small caliber handgun”. According to Muller, the bodies were wrapped in blankets and buried near the water fountain in the garden, where the Russians could easily find the bodies. The Soviet Army was happy, and so was Stalin, until later when he had the body of Hitler examined more thoroughly. The Russians had no fingerprints to compare, so the older method of ear comparison was used; not a match. Would Hitler wear a darned (mended) sock? Stalin didn’t think so. The body had one testicle and Hitler was known to have two. So this was not Hitler afterall. Later Stalin received the intel reports that Hitler had escaped.

Muller insisted that Werner Baumbach, the famous bomber pilot, was in charge of ALL the escape flights. Baumbach was a very loyal and competent officer that Hitler trusted immensely, and Muller stated that Baumbach had also piloted Hitler’s plane the night of his escape. There is a discrepancy when Otto Skorzeny tells Eric Berman that Hitler’s personal female pilot, Hanna Reitsch, was the trusted pilot on Hitler’s escape flight. (Muller and Skorzeny agree that the CIA faked Hanna Reitsch’s death in 1979.)

According to Skorzeny, Hitler remained in Argentina for some time working with Bormann on the Flight Capital Program. Skorzeny also said that Hitler freely traveled to the US and spent the last 3-4 decades of his life living in Glacier National Park in Montana, under the assumed name of William Coates. The name of William Coates appeared in the national press for a time as the oldest man in America who had passed away, but the story was quickly squashed by the government. Census Bureau spin artists later claimed that Coates was only 92 years old. Further stories obfuscated accounts of Mr. Coats. There are no photos of this WIlliam Coates that I could find. Both Muller and Skorzeny stated that Hitler died on February 24, 2004.

In his last will and testament, in which he named Martin Borman executor, Hitler appointed Goebbels as Reich Chancellor; Grand Admiral Karl Dönitz as Reich President, and Bormann as Party Minister.
